With the central theme Ways of Caring, this summer State of Fashion went in search of ways to make the fashion industry more sustainable and caring. Together with artists and makers from all over the world and the public, we worked on the broken relationship between the production of fashion and the wearer.

And with success, because for all seven program components combined, we welcomed over 38,000 visitors! With 47 favourable reviews and articles in newspapers and magazines, national and abroad, the State of Fashion Biennale has not gone unnoticed either.

A total of 700,000 people visited downtown Arnhem in June for Fashion Month Arnhem. That is three times as many as in the same month a year ago. De Gelderlander headline therefore read: “Fashion Month a hit!”

We therefore look back on a successful edition of State of Fashion and would like to thank all visitors, partners, volunteers and other parties involved for your contribution to State of Fashion and all ‘Ways of Caring’!
