Team Tilburg

Team Tilburg explored how fashion can be a tool for social intervention. By expanding the concept of fashion beyond clothing, with an emphasis on personal style and identity, a community project was realized in collaboration with the people of the neighborhood.

The team organized a photo shoot about the power of diversity; diversity in people and in fashion styles. With the help of a local team, Team Tilburg portrayed the striking and diverse youth of Tilburg North. The result, more than 25 portraits, was presented at the pop-up photo exhibition “The Style of North” in NS16. The exhibition put these authentic young people from underappreciated Tilburg North in a positive light.
