Kristina Walsh works at the intersection of art and design. She aims to create discussion surrounding social and cultural perspectives of the body, in an effort to impact human behaviour by coaxing new relationships with one’s Self and the Other. Rigorous research into psychology and social theories underpins the work by Walsh, which is characterised by sensual forms and an otherworldly aesthetic.
After completing her BA degree in both Psychology and Art History at the University of Minnesota, United States, Walsh expanded her interest into the intersections between the human mind and design within the MA Footwear Programme at the London College of Fashion, United Kingdom. She graduated in 2017 and continues to explore how design can enhance the human experience.
Kristina Walsh is currently an artist-in-residence at Sarabande, The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation in London, United Kingdom.
